The Challenge
Design a browser extension application for crowdsourcing witness testimonies, sources and evidence related to crimes or cold cases. Focus on implementation of user interface patterns.
The Result
An interactive Axure prototype available at: https://nbbcka.axshare.com/
Users can create presentations and summaries of crimes, cold cases, urban legends, etc.
The extension is installed in the web browser, and will notify users when browsing material related to Witness-cases, allowing the user to open and explore the case.
Users may find, create and subscribe to cases, and may contribute to each other’s cases to join forces and competencies in investigations.
The service has an integrated Screen Clipper tool, used to quickly save material from the online resources.
The target audience is persons interested in crime, mystery and thrills, and motivated by socializing through teamwork and having a mission. And thrillseekers wanting to engage in something real, as opposed to traditional computer games etc.
